- Synopsis
- Starting his new job as a trucker, Hal rescues a fellow trucker, then meets a new hero, Air Wave, and together they battle the villain Master-Tek. Hal learns that Air Wave is his cousin who is also named Hal Jordan.

Air Wave is the son of the original Air Wave Larry Jordan, who last appeared in Detective Comics #137, July 1948. It is revealed here that Larry was the uncle of Green Lantern Hal Jordan.

Originally scheduled for 1st Issue Special (DC, 1975 series) #14. Roy Harper does not appear in costume, except in flashback.
Star City Mayor Jack Major originally asked Ollie to run for mayor in Green Lantern #87. Ollie agreed at the time, but apparently later had a change of heart, prompting Major to serve for one more term. Now with Major's health failing, he asks Ollie to run again and Ollie agrees. The election occurs later in World's Finest Comics #255.
