The Statement of Ownership, Management and Circulation names Paul Levitz as Editor (along with Joe Orlando as Managing Editor). However, it was announced in an editorial in the preceding issue that Ross Andru was taking over editorial duties from Levitz, and he is credited on each of the story sequences in this issue except for the Deadman installment, which had already been prepared under Levitz's tenure.

Synopsis

Synopsis
Dr. Fate leads the Justice Society in finding the mastermind behind Bill Jensen's power, Frederic Vaux. Vaux plans to offer the JSA to the nether gods so they might unleash chaos on the Earth and destroy all knowledge of the heroes from the minds of the entire world. But Fate revives and with his comrades, and the power of those dedicated to order, defeats Vaux. With their memories in flux due to Vaux's machinations, Fate is also able to alter the general population's minds so that they believe Bruce Wayne and Batman were two separate persons, restoring Robin's and Huntress' secret identities.
