The top half of page 35 features an ad, with a reproduction of the cover and an illustration of Spider-Man alongside, for the "Marvel Annual 1973" (in the UK, annuals were always numbered by the year following - here 1973 for the 1972 annual - and were released anytime from September onwards, with the intention that they would be bought by parents to include amongst their children's Christmas gifts (sometimes New Year gifts) - hence the cover-date; this differs from the customary US practice, where annuals can be released at almost any time in the year).
