- Synopsis
- During the first seven days of 52 ground work is laid with the focal characters: Ralph Dibny hits rock bottom with the destruction of his home; Renée Montoya takes solace in the bottom of a bottle; Steel involves himself endlessly in rescue operations; the Question begins looking for answers; Black Adam secures his position in his homeland; and Booster Gold returns to the public eye and the sponsors' bottom lines. Along the way is a memorial for the fallen, a mysterious message for Ralph, a hero losing her toys, and the abduction of Doctor Sivana.

- Synopsis
- Week two sees Ralph following up on the mysterious message, which leads to a new, Kryptonian based religion centering on Superboy and involving Wonder Girl. Booster visits Doctor Magnus to have Skeets, who is starting to act erratically, checked. The Question enlists Montoya's services to work on a mystery. And Magnus visits Morrow, who warns of missing mad scientists.

- Week three opens with the Gotham PD discovering the body of Alex Luthor, altered to look like Lex. Power Girl is warned out of Kahndaq air space by Black Adam as she chases Terra Man. Steel puts his parental duties on hold as S.T.A.R. Labs contacts him about GCPD's discovery. Also this week: Booster has an endorsement taken out from under him; Lex resurfaces in full spin control mode; and Black Adam rebuffs advances by Intergang and shows the world how he believes heroes should act, in his own violent way.

- Synopsis
- The fourth week finds Montoya watching a derelict building in Gotham, and coming away better, and worse, off for it. Halo is looking for signs of the "space team" heroes return as Washington winds down the search. Booster burns down one of the few bridges he had with the superhero community. While updating his armor, Steel falls victim to a mysterious attacker. Ralph meets with Wonder Girl and the Kryptonian cult lead by Devem, and comes away with a little less than he went in with. By the week's end, Halo's vigilance pays off, to an extent.

- Week five turns on the return of part of the team that followed Donna Troy into space. It opens with Green Lantern breaking bad news to an ever hopeful Ellen Baker. Steel is asked to lend a hand with the conditions of some the returnees while Alan fills him in on the last few minutes before that return. Elsewhere, Sawyer presses Montoya about what happened in the abandoned building, and three deal with being marooned in space.
