- About to be shot by Thug Thatcher's goons, Doctor Blake appeals to Odin for help. Odin's intervention allows Blake to regain his cane and transform himself into Thor. He then brings the gang to justice and rescues Jane into the bargain.

- Subjected to a strange radiation, The Missing Link begins to evolve. He now possesses a sufficiently evolved intelligence to deactivate the machine and avert a nuclear explosion! The machine still explodes (with lesser force) and the Link is arrested.
