Indexer Notes

The first 11 pages of the story are a dream sequence; Comic legend has it that due to the infamous Byrne/Claremont feud, Byrne had a difficult time obtaining permission to use Wolverine in this series and was only allowed to use Wolverine in an illusionary sequence with no dialogue (even though he appears and speaks on the cover) in this issue. (Things must have cleared up somewhat as Logan appears properly in Alpha Flight #16-17); In the splash page credits, Jim Shooter's name appears on a gravestone carved as the Grim Reaper.
