Indexer Notes

This story takes place after the first chapter of the "Freshman Year" in Archie (1962 series # 587 ( September 2008). "Mr. Coyne" is named after Maurice Coyne, one of the founders of MLJ comics, which eventually became Archie Comics. Two teachers in Jughead's new school -- Mr. Schwartz and Mr. Gladir -- are named for Samm Schwartz, a Jughead artist and George Gladir, an Archie Comics writer.
