Monika Livingston's inking credit occurs in the last panel of page 2, "Backs by Monika", meaning backgrounds. Her contributions are acknowledged on the letters' page of issue #11. John Workman begins intermittently using pseudonyms throughout the series, beginning with this issue.

Shrapnel is called by the first name "Mark" by one of his victims, although it could have been an alias. Also, a subplot involving Lex Luthor begins here, although he will not be seen on panel until much later.
