Issue Notes

The microfiche of this issue, on which an earlier GCD index was apparently based, incorrectly contained a Captain America and Human Torch story from Captain America Comics #40. Dr. Michael J. Vassallo reported to the GCD that the stories were not in the actual issue, though the error continues to make it into print and onto websites online.

The on-sale date is from the publication date recorded in the Catalog of Copyright Entries, Part 2, Periodicals, 1945, New Series, Vol. 40, No. 3, p273.
