Synopsis
"The Tarantula" has been kidnapping and killing his victims in 1938 New York. Dian Belmont, socialite daughter of D.A. Lawrence Belmont, meets the odd Wesley Dodd at one of retired Judge Shaffer's parties, and is attracted to his non-conventional manner. Dodd, using sleeping gas and a goggled gas mask, has been snooping on gangster Albert Goldman and his associates. Brought to the precinct as her father is called in to investigate the possible murder of Dian's friend Catherine, Dian walks into a darkened lady's room and is shocked when a figure in a gas mask rises and approaches her.
