- Synopsis:
- Superman and Green Lantern discuss life while playing fetch with Krypto in space. A giant creature invades Metropolis, and the Science Police try to stop it. It is finally brought down by a new meta-human named Atlas, who demands to see Superman. The Science Police also try to stop him, to no avail. Superman finally notices the ruckus, and arrives to confront Atlas.

Story continues in the next issue. This version of Atlas was designed by Jack Kirby, and only appeared once before in 1st Issue Special (DC, 1975 series) #1 (April 1975).
