The Mayor of San Francisco
Synopsis
Cyclops and Emma Frost fight the brainwashed hippie X-Men, eventually defeating Mastermind who escapes with her memory restored. As the illusion fades Angel rescues the Mayor of San Francisco from being run over by a truck, and she offers to help the X-Men with their "relocation plans". In Russia, Colossus, Wolverine and Nightcrawler defeat Omega Red in time to get the call from Cyclops to come "home" and "seize the future." In an epilogue, Martinique is approached by a figure whose face we cannot see who invites her to join the Sisterhood to be ready for the X-Men when they arrive.

Indexer Notes

Despite the title, this is actually Part Five of the "X-Men: Divided" arc. Mastermind is called Martinique Wyngarde here, but in all prior appearances was named Martinique Jason (her half-sister Regan was the one who used the Wyngarde name).
