- Synopsis
- Hearing his father and uncle's story of their journey to Peking, Marco begged to go with them on their return trip. Traveling from Venice to Acre, they used the Kahn's golden passport to travel through Tabriz, and Savah, while there Marco was taken into a tomb reported to be of Christ's three wise men. They then traveled to Hormuz but seeing the state of shipping there opted to risk the Persian desert crossing instead. Stocking up at Kerman the crossed arriving at Kubenan. To save time and distance they began a shortcut over the Pamir Mountains.
