Issue Notes

The comic is an adaptation of the ancient Greek epic poem "The Odyssey," attributed to Homer and believed to have been composed in the 8th century BCE.

The indicia lists the title as Marvel Classics Comics featuring The Odyssey.

The U. S. Copyright Office filing lists the publication date as 1977-12-28. This appears to be an error. Issue 17 of the series is given a publication date of 1976-12-28, and issues 19 and 20 are given publication dates of 1977-03-01. The pattern for the series during its first 23 issues was for two to four issues to be published at a time. As the reported publication month and day for issue 18 match those of issue 17, the publication date (and therefore the on-sale date) was most likely 1976-12-28.
