Synopsis:
Construction engineer Alan Scott survives an explosion during a test crossing of a trestle bridge and learns he was saved by the green lantern he carried. The lantern tells how long ago a meteor was formed into a lamp by a Chinese lampmaker and how it protected him from his murderous neighbors. Later the lamp was found by an asylum inmate, who re-formed it into a lantern and was cured of his insanity by the lantern. Now it brings power to Scott, who forms a ring out of part of it and uses his new abilities to force a confession for the sabotage of the bridge out of Dekker, a rival contractor.

Synopsis:

Investigating, Green Lantern discovers that Murdock framed Danny with the help of Judge Wake, an honest man forced to help when Murdock kidnapped his daughter. Green Lantern frees the girl and forces a confession out of Murdock before the gangster dies after falling off the Perisphere.

By posing as a gambler who runs up a large debt, Green Lantern scares a confession out of Slade's lawyer, then confronts Slade himself, but Slade falls into the deathtrap he plans for the hero.

Synopsis:
When the station's top announcer is murdered, Alan Scott applies for a job at APEX Broadcasting to investigate, but the assistant manager, Mr. Gates, tells him there are no openings. Working with Irene Miller, who coincidentally works at APEX, Scott discovers that Mr. Gates was using the announcer's program to send coded messages to his henchmen in his smuggling operations. After getting a confession out of Gates as Green Lantern, Alan frees Irene and receives a job offer from the president of APEX Broadcasting.

Taking action as Green Lantern, Scott discovers that Day is being blackmailed because her father is actually racketeer Al Maloney. GL interviews Maloney in prison and finds that Frankie Fowler is the only other person who knows the connection between the two and races to find Fowler, but Delia is already there paying the blackmail. Fowler forces GL to surrender to save Delia, but Maloney bursts in, there is an exchange of gunfire, and both men are killed.

Synopsis:
Twice while carrying plans for an experimental radio tower, Irene Miller is jumped by thieves but saved by cab driver Doiby Dickles. When Alan Scott hears about this, he thanks Doiby personally as Green Lantern. Later, Alan overhears a man named Barton offer to buy Apex and begins to suspect that he may be the one after the plans. While Green Lantern handles Barton's attempts at sabotage, Doiby dresses in a Green Lantern costume to save Irene, who Barton has taken hostage, but receives a last minute helping hand from the real GL.

Synopsis:
When Alan Scott hears of the suspicious death of a millionaire who left his estate to a hated nephew he investigates as Green Lantern. Meanwhile, Irene and Doiby do some investigating of their own and Irene is kidnapped once again. GL traces Irene to the Spider's lair where he learns how the Spider uses a special chemical to hypnotize his victims and get them to write new wills, then uses it again to cause their heart failures. Faking vulnerability to The Spider's poison, Green Lantern surprises the Spider before he strikes his next victim.

Failing that, he tries to cripple the horse, but Green Lantern puts an end to that plot. Finally, Jorgis gets Irene's cousin to convince her to enter the horse in a "claiming race," and Irene loses ownership of Jersey Queen to Scar. After GL reclaims the horse, he forces confessions out of Scar and Gerald and returns Jersey Queen to Irene.

GL mounts his own campaign to raise funds, stopping an impostor along the way, until Filch's son gets sick. Filch promises to confess to his grafting in exchange for help saving his boy. But Filch fingers Commissioner Merril, his partner in crime, as responsible for the DA's murderer, so GL confronts him and collects the evidence needed to put him away too.

Synopsis:
As a series of fires breaks out in the tenements of Capitol City, Barton, the publisher of the Daily Tattle, campaigns for the razing of the slums. But when the fire inspector uncovers evidence of arson, a Tattle reporter overhears Barton conspiring with real-estate man Murker, and a commissioner accuses Merker of his crimes, Green Lantern must swing into action to save the fire inspector and reporter from murder attempts and free the kidnapped family of the commissioner before tricking a confession out of Barton.
