Synopsis:
Spider-Man discovers that poisonous gas only affects blood relatives of the Karnelli family. He races across town to rescue the children. The Spider-Mugger bites off more than he can handle and is killed by Dooley. J. Jonah Jameson wakes up in hospital and immediately asks his wife how the Bugle is. She has sold all her shares to Dexter Bennett who now takes over as owner. Mister Negative releases a second gas attack on the children of the Maggia family but Spider-Man intervenes. Mister Negative holds a child hostage forcing Spider-Man to give up some of his blood. It is then revealed that Mister Negative is actually Mr Li, a close friend of Aunt May. Spider-Man discovers the body of Sean Boyle just as cops turn up.

Synopsis:
Wolverine recalls his fight with KGB whilst rescuing his friend Charlie. Spider-Man discovers the bodies of the owners of a local store. He takes his photos to the Bugle and whilst he is there Ned Leeds interrupts a conversation between him and J. Jonah Jameson. He takes MJ out to Time Square but a sniper starts shooting and forces him into action but he feels helpless to assist. Parker decides to give up being Spider-Man once more. Meanwhile Ned explains that he believes Charlemagne has returned and is killing ex-KGB agents. Jonah phones Parker to offer him a job.
