Synopsis

Synopsis
Superman hears about gunrunners in Gotham City. Dick Grayson has major geometry homework, but goes to train in the Batcave first, and then gets distracted by reports that the gunrunners are on the move. He sneaks out to confront them, but needs to be rescued by Superman (from both the gunrunners and the homework).

This story is set in the past. The scene on the first page with the boat sitting on the street in front of a Metropolis police station is very reminiscent of a similar scene in Superman: The Movie.

Synopsis
Superman gives a question-and-answer session after testifying before congressional committees. A woman approaches, slaps him, and says that while he was off-planet, he was unable to help people like her husband, who died of a brain tumor that Superman could have easily fixed. In the days that follow, Superman ponders this, talking with Batman and Flash, and remembering back to wisdom from his foster father. He makes a decision, and starts walking.
