- The Shining Knight [Sir Justin]; "Brains" O'Connell (crook)
- Synopsis
- The Shining Knight leads police to the premises of a taxidermist, and down into the cellar, where men manufacture an assortment of deadly weapons. Deprived of their supply of guns, "Brains" O'Connell hits on the idea of using swords instead, and hires a fencing master to train his gang.
Art credits by Craig Delich per the Who's Who. Although Chuck Winter also did the Knight during this time period, the art does not appear to be his work.
Keith Chandler adds: This is not Moreira either, and a careful look beneath the unknown, heavy-handed inker reveals pencils that seem to be by Frank Frazetta. Frazetta is on the cusp of his short but shining stint on the feature, and one wonders whether this was a tryout by the editors.
