Based on the television series Battlestar Galactica created by Glen Larson.

Variants of this type were distributed under limited deals between publishers and distribution "jobbers" (Whitman was one, but not the only one) who could get comics into outlets that did not consistently carry comics. The retail unit was a bag containing more than one comic.
This issue is a variant of Battlestar Galactica (Marvel, 1979 series) #1 [Regular Edition].

Synopsis
Count Baltar betrays the Twelve Colonies to the Cylons and the crew of Battlestar Galactica are forced to flee. Adama rallies the survivors of the Colonies and tells them that they are going to find Earth.
