The final battle between the Antimonitor and the heroes begins on 2 fronts: one on Earth, the other in the Antimatter universe. After great loss and suffering on both fronts, Superman [Earth-2] delivers the final blow to the Antimonitor and goes into a limbo alongside Superboy Prime, his wife Lois Lane Kent [Earth-2], and Alex Luthor Jr. never to be seen again for a long time. The only other person left to ever remember how the multiverse truly once existed as it did is Psycho Pirate [Roger Hayden], besides Pariah, Harbinger, and Lady Qwark.

Indexer Notes

Deaths of Dove [Don Hall], Green Arrow (Earth-2), Kole, Lori Lemaris, Prince Ra-Man, and Sunburst. Robin (Earth-2) and Huntress (Helena Wayne) hurt during shadow demon attack ,but deaths unknown until Last Days of Justice Society Special one-shot (DC, 1986 series). Wonder Woman [Earth-1] devolved into clay by weakened antimatter blast from Antimonitor, and her history subsequently erased backwards through time (Legend of Wonder Woman (DC, 1986 series))- reborn via Wonder Woman (DC, 1987 series) and Legends (DC, 1987 series). Kid Flash becomes Flash, albeit at a reduced speed rate (3x's speed of sound) (DC, 1987 series).

This story would later be revisited and mentioned in Zero Hour (DC, 1994 series) and Infinite Crisis (DC, 2005 series) as well as other DC stories in between.
