- With the help of her young friend Emil, Hope is able to survive alone for two years while Bishop continues to search for her; Cable spends the same two years pulling himself together as his techno organic virus is out of control; He finally catches up with Hope in the time stream and, rather than jump forward in time again, impersonates Stryfe and steals a space ship to get himself and Hope off planet and out of the reach of Bishop's clutches; Hope, however, has to be forced to go as she doesn't want to leave her young love, Emil, behind.
