Synopsis
Wendell is a small, average man with a pitiful life. Every day he goes to his job, sitting at a machine gun and periodically shooting a hairy, feral man in a pit to keep the savage mutant's healing factor in overload so he cannot escape. Wendell's life is not all that great but he manages to keep it under control. That is, until the man in the pit, the man he continually shoots day in and day out, starts talking to him.

Synopsis
Wolverine is brain dead and Dr. Strange retrieves his body from the SHIELD helicarrier to try and discover why Logan's soul did not return to his body after his healing factor repaired him. In the realm of the afterlife, Strange and Logan chat about Wolvie's esoteric battle with the being known as Lazaer every time the X-Man is killed and figure out that Logan's soul is trapped in limbo because the last time he battled the angel of death, he lost for the first time.

Synopsis
Wolverine kills Lord Shingen, again. Then he kills Shogun, again. And in return for killing Phaedra, the lady who has been resurrecting everybody in direct opposition to the angel of death, Wolvie has his complete soul returned to his mortal body by Lazaer. The catch is that his mutant healing factor is diminished somewhat and the next time he is killed for good he is dead for good. And Wolverine couldn't be any happier with the bargain.
