Synopsis
The members of Alpha Flight break up and do their own thing with no leader to guide them. Heather tries to rescue a woman who has fallen into Lake Ontario but is attacked by a tentacle. Puck meets up with Marrina and and informs her that he thinks the attacker was one of her alien race.

This is the first time Elizabeth Twoyoungmen is seen as an adult; she becomes Talisman in #18.
The Plodex is the alien race whom Marrina belongs to. This race is never named in this issue nor in Alpha Flight #16, November 1984, when it reappears and in which Marrina refers to it as her 'mate'.
The first time the 'Plodex' name is revealed is in Marvel Team-Up Annual #7, October 1984.
