Indexer Notes

These strips include date codes from '10-19' to '12-5'. As Bill Ziegler signed strips from 9 March 1953 to 9 January 1954, this story must be from late 1953. (Artist information from http://strippersguide.blogspot.com/2007/09/obscurity-of-day-dragnet.html.)

The strip for 2 November appears to have been censored. Friday asks how Mrs. Gates was killed and most of the following speech bubble is blank after 'Blow on the back of her head…' There is a similar partially blank speech bubble on the strip for 11 November that describes a fight between Thelma's husband and mother. Notably, this series was banned by the Queensland Literature Board of Review from 28 August 1954.
