- Detective Montoya is sued by Mary Lipari who she arrested and he tried to kill her during the arrest. He walks free on a technicality and is suing Detective Montoya. The P.I. that was working for Lipari turns up dead which makes Internal Affairs suspect Detective Montoya. During all this someone "outs" Detective Montoya by posting a picture of her and her lover on the office bulletin board.

- The Gotham Central Detectives continue to look for clues to the location of the Joker. They track down the gun dealer he bought the rifle from. The acting Mayor makes them arrest a group of losers called the Killer Clowns (a street gang, low level Joker henchmen) who know nothing. While Lt. Probson is on a smokebreak outside the Joker walks up and gets himself arrested.

- The Gotham Central Detectives continue questioning Joker to find the location of Angie Molina. Lt Probson beats Joker severely until Joker turns the tables and kills Probson and several officers. He is gunned down by Captain Sawyer. Detective Chandler and Patton discover the location of Molina who is strapped to a bomb. While Detective Patton is trying to defuse the bomb, Batman shows up. Detective Patton is seriously injured when the bomb explodes.
