- Synopsis
- A vigilante called the Reaper, who operated in Gotham City twenty years earlier, re-emerges just as Bruce Wayne begins a relationship with Rachel Caspian, though neither Bruce nor Rachel know that her father is the Reaper. After being badly beaten by the Reaper in their first encounter, Batman decides to use the very gun used to kill his parents to bring the Reaper down.

- Synopsis
- While Bruce proposes to Rachel, the Reaper attacks the gathered mob bosses. Batman arrives late to the fight, and the Reaper escapes again, while Joe Chill is knocked unconscious. When Chill comes to, Batman takes the thug to the alley where he killed the Waynes and reveals their connection. But before Batman can complete his revenge, the Reaper kills Joe Chill. Batman and the Reaper fight one final time and the Reaper falls to his death. Later, Batman disposes of Joe Chill's gun in the base of the Wayne Foundation Building and Rachel enters the convent to atone for the sins of her father.

- Synopsis
- The Reaper re-appears, but this time it is Joe Chill's son Joseph in the costume. Afraid her father has returned, Rachel Caspian heads to Gotham. Walking past the Wayne Foundation, Rachel runs into the Reaper. Batman saves her, but Chill manages to retrieve his father's gun. Working with his sister Marcia, Joseph kidnaps Rachel to use her as bait. Trapping Batman, the Chills use a psychoactive drug and a filmed re-enactment of his parents' deaths to try to drive the hero to suicide. But with a double-cross by Marcia and the help of Robin, Batman puts an end to Joseph's time as the Reaper.
