- Synopsis
- When Jimmy allows Prof. Potter to demonstrate his evolution accelerator on him, he becomes a human from 1,000,000 A.D. who calls himself the Cosmic Brain. Transformed, Jimmy forces Superman to create a crater in the Antarctic icecap and fill it with heavy materials. Only once Jimmy has reverted to his normal self does Superman discover that as the Cosmic Brain Jimmy had figured that the clustering of the Earth's main land masses around the North Pole would some day lead to the destruction of the planet.

- Synopsis
- Jimmy agrees to be a test subject for a week for men from Jupiter. He is granted the ability to read minds, but is also turned into a green, scaly Jovian. He uses his abilities to compete for the Newsman of the Year, though he covers his appearance. Between scoops, Jimmy reads Clark Kent's mind and "hears" him think that he is Superman. Jimmy’s rival Vince Regan plans to expose Jimmy at the ceremony, but luckily a Jovian week is equal to 5 Earth days, and Jimmy has reverted to his old self by then. The Jovians declare the experiment a success and help Superman preserve his secret identity.

- An accident involving an experiment of Prof. Potter's gives Jimmy fire-breath. When he accidentally burns $1,000 meant for charity, Jimmy tries to use his abilities to raise replacement funds. In doing so, however, he draws the attention of "Hot Shot" Holton, who forces Jimmy to use his fire-breath to commit robberies. But Jimmy uses his fire-breath to signal Superman, and eventually douses his fire with mere water.

- Jimmy finds an enlarging ray-gun and accidentally fires it through a turtle, striking himself, turning him into a giant turtle-man. When Jimmy begins to collect tons of steel objects, dumping them into an island volcano, Superman is called out to stop him. But Lori Lemaris tells Superman that an Atlantean criminal created the ray-gun and controlled Jimmy telepathically as part of a plan to protect pirate treasure buried on the volcanic island. Superman restores Jimmy with Brainiac's shrinking ray and recovers the pirate loot.

- Jimmy is taken by The Collector to the world Gion-El, which is seemingly inhabited by duplicates of him in the strange forms into which he has been transformed in the past. But when Jimmy realizes he is being hoaxed, the Legionnaires reveal that he has passed his initiation test and they bring him to the 30th century to officially be made an honorary member of the Legion of Super-Heroes.

But the enlarging compound wears off and Jimmy reverts to normal size, so Allura returns to her giant world with Titano in tow.

- Synopsis
- Dev-Re, who has discovered Superman and Jimmy's dual identities as Nightwing and Flamebird, asks the pair to find his daughter Sarna, who has fallen in with a group of violent radicals. But the space-germ that followed them into the bottled city spreads a plague throughout Kandor, causing the populace to attack the heroes, which allows Sarna to knock out Jimmy. Jimmy tricks Sarna into using the explosives her group has amassed to blow off the top of the bottle, instantly making the Kandorians invulnerable and reversing the effects of the plague.
