Synopsis

All her life Oda has dreamed that a stranger would arrive bringing vast changes to Story City, and now she tells her brother Carl that the day has arrived. Bigby Wolf enters the surrounding forest only to be set upon by werewolves, and is taken prisoner through the use of tranquilizer darts.

Synopsis

Stating that Story City is about to explode, Bigby revokes his parole and returns to his cell. The Spezialeinheit members turn to werewolves in order to kill Bigby and seize control of the community, only to discover that Bigby has escaped.

Synopsis

Recognizing that their lives and their systems have collapsed, Sigi commits suicide. Bigby and the Spezialeinheit make war throughout Story City, burning much of it in the process. Carl orders his followers to burn fellow members of the community in hopes of killing Bigby at the same time. Bigby hunts and slays the Spezialeinheit members, sparing only two for his own purposes, and orders a mass gathering on the morrow.

Synopsis

Gathering the community, Bigby damns Arthur Harp as a weak leader, executes him, and installs Alwin in his place. He orders them to manage their own affairs and avoid drawing the attention of either Mundys or Fables. On his way out of town he meets Oda, who is also leaving. Both of them agree that Story City is untenable, and is doomed to collapse in time.
