Synopsis

Synopsis

Synopsis

Synopsis
Superman puts Batman to rest, but the Dark Knight rises from his grave. Meanwhile, Joker considers whether Lois' betrayal to his side is legitimate. In Hell, Superboy and Supergirl deal with Lord Satanus, who sends them back to Joker's world. And while the Justice League of America faces off against the Joker League of Anarchy, Joker decides to recreate the universe with the Superman Family (and Batman) transformed into animals.

Synopsis
After killing Superman, Joker turns to torturing Batman with "films" showing the breaking of Superman's spirit, but the movies end differently than Joker planned. Meanwhile, Superman encounters the Spectre before returning to face Joker in final battle, now backed-up by the Justice League.

Synopsis
Though Joker's control of the universe is absolute, Superman points out that Joker cannot will Batman out of existence because he cannot get Batman out of his mind. With the realization that he will never be rid of Batman, Joker breaks and returns his power to Mr. Mxyzptlk, who restores the universe. But Batman's mind has snapped from all the torture he witnessed at the hands of the Joker, and the only way to restore him is for the Spectre to transfer the pain and trauma to the Man of Steel, who heroically shoulders the burden.
