Destruction is the fourth born of The Endless. He played his role for 10 billion years ago, however he has been at odds with the other Endless after he abandoned his post over three hundred years ago.

Destruction first appeared in Sandman Special (DC, 1991 series) #1 ([November] 1991). He was given the name "Olethros" in Sandman Special (DC, 1991 series) #1 ([November] 1991).
