Sandra Knight was a wealthy socialite and the daughter of Senator Henry Knight. She fought crime and espionage as the Phantom Lady.

At DC Comics, she was established as being a cousin of Ted Knight (Starman).

Sandra Knight and Iron Munro had a son out-of-wedlock which she gave up for adoption. Al Pratt (the Atom) was listed on the child's birth certificate as the father. The boy was named Walter Pratt, and he would later become the father of Kate Spencer (Manhunter). After Sandra and Iron were married, the couple had a second child, which was kidnapped by Baron Blitzkrieg. That son's fate is unknown.

First appearance in a Fox Feature Syndicate comic in Phantom Lady (Fox, 1947 series) #13 (August 1947). First appearance in an Ajax-Farrell comic in Phantom Lady (Farrell, 1954 series) #5 [1] (December 1954-January 1955). Phantom Lady first appeared in a DC comic in a reprint in Adventure Comics (DC, 1938 series) #416 (March 1972), then appeared in a new story in Justice League of America (DC, 1960 series) #107 (September-October 1973).
