Maxwell Jensen is a Superman supervillain who gained the ability to drain powers and life force from others while he was working a menial job at a research facility. One day, he opened a toxic waste disposal container and was mutated into the villain Parasite.
Notes:

First appearance of Maxwell Jensen during the Pre-Crisis Earth One era was in Action Comics (DC, 1938 series) #340 (August 1966). His last Pre-Crisis appearance was in Action Comics (DC, 1938 series) #578 (April 1986). Erased during Crisis on Infinite Earths, he has been revived as a result of Dark Crisis on Infinite Earths. Maxwell Jensen was created by Jim Shooter.
