Based on the 1986 Columbia Pictures cartoon series, "The Real Ghostbusters", which was itself based on the 1984 Columbia Pictures live action motion picture, "Ghostbusters". The live action Janine Melnitz was played by Annie Potts. The animated version was voiced by Laura Summer and Kath Soucie.
