Born: 1888 March 30 in Brooklyn, New York City, New York, United States

Died: 1936 October 31 in New York, New York, United States

Biography: Plummer was an illustrator for many of the major magazines published in New York City and was the first woman artist to be published in The New Yorker Magazine. She was married twice, to Norman Jacobson in 1917 and then to Colonel Frederic Humphreys around 1930 but appears to have exclusively used her maiden name in her professional work.

Notes: Some sources give her birth year as 1888, but according to an analysis of census data (at https://www.pulpartists.com/Plummer.html ) 1878 is likely more accurate.
