Biography: Charles Strong was a part of Rear Admiral Richard Byrd's South Pole expedition in 1934.
Under the pen name of Charles Stoddard, Strong wrote text features for Pines (Better/Nedor/Standard) from 1942 to 1947. Under his own name, Strong wrote for Pines from 1941 to 1954 and for Parents' Magazine Press in 1946.
He worked in production at Pines as an editor during the war years, from about 1942 to about 1945.
