Biography: Everett E. Lowry was a long time cartoonist and comic strip artist who worked for the Chicago Chronicle, the Chicago American, the New York World, and for the McClure Syndicate.

Lowry also did the comic strips: Biler, in 1903; Prodical Willie, in 1903; Deacon Backslider, from 1903 to 1904; Johnny on the Spot, from 1903 to 1904; Peg Leg Pete, from 1903 to 1904; Pete, from 1903 to 1905; Binnacle Jim, from 1903 to 1905; Hippo and the Monks (unconfirmed), from 1904 to 1910; The Giggledy Girls, from 1905; Bub - He's Always to Blame, from 1905 to 1913; The Man with an Elephant on His Hands, 1905; Professor Fakem he Naturalist, 1907; Unusual Child-Mother's Pet, Father's Joy, in 1909; Adventures of Poor Old Robinson Crusoe, from 1909 to 1911; Dear Old Uncle, in 1911; Cwaking Cwacks with Cwack, in 1911; Uncle Bluffer and the Wow-Wow Twins, from 1911 to 1912; Crazy Quilt, in 1914; And His Name is Mister Bones, from 1914 to 1920; and Bobby Make-Believe, in 1919.

His most famous cartoon, His Famous Author, showed a farmer at his home reading a message from President Theodore Roosevelt. Roosevelt liked the cartoon so much he requested and received the original art for it.
