Biography: George Henderson was a comic and popular culture shop owner in the mid-1960s who opened Memory Lane on Markham Street in Toronto in 1967. He published Captain George's Comic World, Captain George's Whizzbang, Captain George Presents, and Captain George's Penny Dreadful. Unknown to him, some of the old comic strips he reprinted in Captain George Presents were still under copyright and he was sued for copyright violation in 1971. He had to pay $4,000 and destroy all his back issues. He remained owner and operator of Memory Lane until his death.
