Biography: Mark Thompson worked in support for Fantagraphics from 1982 to 1990. Thompson worked as a general assistant in 1992, an editorial assistant in 1983, and assistant editor from 1984 to 1985, a production assistant from 1985 to 1989, as an art director and in production from 1989 to 1990 and production probably up to 1993, editorial coordination about 1994, and as an editor for reprint volumes from about 1995 to about 2010.
Under his pen name of Wim Jr., Thompson did cover coloring for Love and Rockets (Fantagraphics, 1982 series) #15 (January 1986) and Threat (Fantagraphics, 1986 series) #1 (June 1986).
Notes: This Mark Thompson is not the same as the Mark Thompson who was publisher of Checker Comics/Checker Book Publishing Group, from 1997 to 2012 with a brief return in 2017.
