A panel cartoon by Ollie Harrington that appeared weekly in Black newspapers in the U.S. (weekly newspapers created for and sold to predominantly black consumers in major urban markets at a time when mainstream media routinely ignored black audiences). The main recurring character in the cartoons is Bootsie, a black man living in Harlem.
