Marvel's original Ms. Marvel was a superhero feature starring Carol Danvers, a former US Air Force officer who had originally appeared as part of the supporting cast of Marvel's first Captain Marvel feature. Danvers headlined her own title for several years. After the cancellation of her solo title she appeared in supporting roles throughout the Marvel Universe for many years under different names, until she took over the Captain Marvel name and feature in 2012.
