The Endless are eternal beings who embody different aspects of the Universe. They are the children of Time and Night. From oldest to youngest, they are: Destiny [Potmos], Death [Teleute], Dream/The Sandman [Morpheus], Destruction/The Prodigal [Olethros], Desire [Epithumia] (twin brother-sister to Despair), Despair [Aponoia] (twin sister to Desire), and Delight/Delirium [Mania].
Notes:
The Endless were first mentioned in Sandman (DC, 1989 series) #1 (January 1989). Their personal names were revealed in Sandman Special (DC, 1991 series) #1 ([November] 1991).

Destiny first appeared in Weird Mystery Tales (DC, 1972 series) #1 (July-August 1972). Dream first appeared in Sandman (DC, 1989 series) #1 (January 1989). Death first appeared in Sandman (DC, 1989 series) #8 (August 1989). Desire and Despair first appeared in Sandman (DC, 1989 series) #10 (November 1989). Delight/Delirium first appeared in Sandman (DC, 1989 series) #21 (December 1990). Destruction first appeared in Sandman Special (DC, 1991 series) #1 ([November] 1991).

Their mother, Night, first appeared in The Sandman: Overture (DC, 2013 series) #2 (May 2014). Their father, Time, first appeared in The Sandman: Overture (DC, 2013 series) #4 (February 2015).
