- This Auckland-based publisher exclusively reprinted comics from Australia's Magazine Management group and the comics are almost identical to their Australian editions. Some comics report the publisher as "Trans-Tasman Magazines Ltd for Junior Readers' Press".
Around 1958, New Zealand restricted the importation of some Australian magazines. These bans continued until at least 1959. [Reported in Associated Newspapers Limited annual reports, 1958-1959]. Trans-Tasman Magazines appears to have been established at this time, possibly by Magazine Management, to get around the restrictions. The company continues until at least the early 1960s.
