- Synopsis
- Earthmen land on a planet and find only ruins of what was once an advanced civilization. They notice the planet is overrun with living plant life. The men manage to make it back to their ship and return to Earth. A scientist had brought a sample on board for study, but it begins to grow at an enormous rate and takes over the ship. They realize it was the plants that destroyed that planet's civilization and if they land, this specimen will grow and destroy Earth's civilization to. They decide to blow up their ship before they land, but bits and pieces of the plants drift down towards the city.

A re-scripted 'Cut & Pasted' version titled "The Missionaries" is in Weird Chills (Stanley Morse, 1954 series) #2 (September 1954).
Reworked version retitled "The Green Horror."
Original indexer credited "Frank Frollo?" with both pencils and inks but Hames Ware spotted the initials "LW" on the splash page and thinks this might be Larry Woromay (though he doesn't know Woromay's art style).
