Synopsis
Mary is unwilling to let Glyn sacrifice his future to protect her, so she brings the judges back to look at the paintings of her on Glyn's bedroom walls. When word gets out of the paintings, Mary becomes the subject of rumors in the village. However, those attitudes change when they learn that Glyn has won the art competition and will be leaving the village to become famous. Tom realizes that Mary loves Glyn and releases her from her promise to marry him. Glyn and Mary tell each other that they love each other.

Synopsis
Feeling she doesn't fit in anywhere, Toots decides to rebel by not getting up and doing her chores. Her aunt brings her breakfast, but Toots accidentally knocks the tray on the floor. Toots becomes sad when she realizes how upset her aunt is. It was Stephen she wanted to hurt, not her aunt. When Stephen comes to the garden to talk to her about the incident, she slaps his face but he takes her in his arms and kisses her.
