- Synopsis
- Years ago, the Mighty Crusaders rid the world of all evil and built a town for themselves called Red Circle. Joe Higgins is invited to a party in celebration of the town's birth, and attends. Just before dinner is served, Brain Emperor attacks the Mighty Crusaders, while the Shield takes the children of the Mighty Crusaders to his house. Meanwhile, all of the other Mighty Crusaders are killed. Being unable to find The Shield, Brain Emperor leaves the town.

Story title is never shown and this title is taken from the official Archie Comics solicit. This story takes place approximately 27 years after the Mighty Crusaders series from the 1980s. The DC Impact line is not featured as part of the continuity. The Mighty Crusaders do not appear in costume, but superhero names are given for identification.
