Each issue in this series has a major standalone horror story. The major story is always framed by at least a page or two at the beginning and end of each issue (drawn by Novo Malgapo) involving the strange happenings at a family-owned theater. The major story is usually presented as the movie playing at the theater. It is the framing sequences that tie the issues together and provide the basis for the series title.

- David and his father are a rare father-son combination that has survived a ten-year zombie plague which almost wipes out humanity. But when it appears the zombies are gone for good, one last zombie appears and bites David's father before he can kill it. The virus begins to take hold of David's father. This story is framed as a movie viewed in a theater by a couple on a date. The couple leaves the darkened theater oblivious to the bloody bodies in the other theater seats.

- Synopsis
- Tim's wife has left him after he has caught her cheating on him multiple times. As he lies in bed, Tim notices a hole in his bedroom ceiling. When he investigates, the other side seems to be a void and not his attic as it should be. Things that go into the hole disappear and don't come back. He hatches a plan for his wife, but there are unintended consequences when his daughter visits. In the framing sequence, Parker and Jan have sex in the theater when it is their night to close the theater. Jan is concerned that Cindy may know what is going on.
