Loki switches faces and clothing with Thor. Balder and Sif are initially deceived and battle Thor. Thor (with Loki’s face) tries to explain what Loki has done. When Balder is injured and Thor goes to his aid, they finally accept that Thor is being truthful.
Thor and Loki have switched bodies. Odin, unaware of this, sees them battle and removes Loki (actually Thor) from the conflict. Thor tries to explain to Odin that, despite appearances, he is not Loki. Odin, impatient, refuses to listen and banishes Thor to Hades, the realm of Mephisto. Thor’s allies race to save him but he has been rendered immobile in an ice-like substance.
Thor, in Loki’s form, is freed from Mephisto’s trap by his friends, the Warriors Three and Sif. Mephisto is repulsed by Thor’s innate goodness and allows the heroes to leave Hades. On Earth, Loki, in Thor’s form, has been battling the military. The real Thor confronts him and, in battle, tricks him into hurling his hammer. After 60 seconds, Thor turns into Dr. Blake. Blake grabs his stick and transforms into Thor, undoing Loki’s spell. Loki is defeated and submits to Thor.
