Unemployed seaman Mike Dillon gets shanghaied onto the fabled Flying Dutchman where he has to do menial work. Dillon protests and drives a cutlass through the cruel captain’s heart. The captain is unharmed, though. Later on Dillon finds out that the sword is just a fake one and the ship a front for a sailing counterfeiting operation.
London eccentric Derek Drew falls in love with a young woman named Minerva and starts to court her. Drew has a dark secret, he was a highwayman of the 16th century who was betrayed by a woman also named Minerva.
