The cover artist is the son of Tarzan creator, Edgar Rice Burroughs. So states Alberto Becattini in Alter Ego #129 (November 2014).

Craig Delich disputes this art credit, as does Ken Quattro on page 47 in Alter Ego #118 (July 2013), the latter in his article on E.C. Stoner, with this cover reproduced and specifically stating that the art is by Stoner.

John Coleman Burroughs, in 1940, prepared the 32-page comics adpatation "Dave Innes of Pellucidar series, the first 12 pages of which appear here. The remaining 20 pages had to wait for another 28 years before being published by Greystoke Press in a 56-page booklet, along with Coleman Burroughs' preliminary sketches.
