- Synopsis
- Beth and Old-timer help Red and Little Beaver to trail their cattle to the railroad. Three outlaws lay in wait to stampede the herd and see that the girl goes down in front of it.
John Hampton is credited to ghost Red Ryder in Jerry Bails' Who's Who in the late 1940s, and the artwork here is similar to the art in The Kiyotee Kids in #40. Art ID by Steinar Ådland January 2011.

- 1st page: A Little Beaver soliloquy, as he goes to bathe in the river: complaining that Red says he must do so every day; and envying fish, who never have to.
2nd page: While hanging out at the corral, Little Beaver brags to Red that he never misses the bull's-eye target on the wall: he demonstates, shooting an arrow in the wall, then drawing a target around it.

- Little Beaver makes a rubber sling. Po-ko misses the target; they find gold where the arrow zipped into the river. When Little Beaver uses the sling with an arrow, he thwarts a thief.
